IS ORGANIC COTTON THE NEW GOLD?

Last July, 20 people from the VEJA team went to the Northeast of Brazil to meet with the agroecological cotton producers and cooperatives. Coming from Brazil, the U.S and France, they all work in different departments such as sales, communication, or logistics. Their common goal was to experience the reality of the producers that VEJA has been working with for 17 years. To meet for the first time some of the farmers behind the organic cotton used for the VEJA sneakers they wear.

THE VEJA TEAM, JOURNEY TO AMAZONIA

In 2004, VEJA stepped for the first time into the Amazon rainforest, the only place in the world where rubber grows wild.
Last May, a team of 20 people from the VEJA Brazil and France embarked on a journey into Amazonia.
The purpose of this journey is to experience the reality of the local rubber producers with whom we have been working for the past 17 years.

THE END OF LEATHER?

Many brands talk about vegan and ecological trends to replace leather.
However, many brands use plastic to replace it, naming it: "grape leather, apple leather etc..."
These materials are made almost entirely of plastic, which is 99% made from petroleum.
